Peer lending has been around for over a decade (Zopa launched in UK in 2005).

Data for peer lending marketplaces such as Lending Club and Prosper are very transparent, which is a boon for statistical analysis.
As we predicted earlier this year, a major Peer Lender has gone belly-up, reminding many of Bernie Madoff’s Ponzi scheme that collapsed in 2008.
Everyone claims to want a job, or at least, the opportunity to work.
